Born. 29th Novemeber 1893, Leeds.
Died. 15th December 1971.

Clifford was born in Leeds on 29th November 1893. He enlisted with friends from Beeston Hill Baptist Church on 9th July 1915 into A company. 15th West Yorkshire Regiment.

Clifford played the French horn in the band throughout the war and left a war diary and other records.He was wounded in the right knee whilst in action on 25th April 1918 and was taken Prisoner of War. He received his army discharge papers in mid December 1918 and discharged on the 19th March 1919

He married Amy Pretoria Stephenson in Leeds on 29th May 1920. Moving to Blackpool in the 1930's he became a tramway driver.he died on the 15th December 1971.
