Born Hunslet, Leeds 1885.
Killed in action France 3rd of May 1917.
Arthur was the only son of John William Pannett a self employed butcher and his wife Betty, after leaving school he first worked alongside his father as a trainee butcher, then after the death of his father in 1912 and the closure of the family business, he took work labouring in a local mill.
At the time of his enlistment in early 1915 he and his younger sister were living with their mother at 125, Stratford St., Dewsbury Rd., Leeds.
He served with the Pals in Colsterdale Egypt and France.
Having no known grave he is commemorated on the Arras memorial, France.
