Private Oswald Percy Wheeler. 15/968

Born Dewsbury York’s, 1895.

Oswald Percy Wheeler was one of 7 children born to Frederick John (an Iron Works manager) and Catherine Lizzie Wheeler of Saville Town, Dewsbury,Yorks.
He enlisted on the 4th of September 1914 and served with number 11 platoon of C company in Colsterdale Egypt and France.
Although Severely wounded on the 1st of July 1916 he survived the war, being
discharged on the 22nd of February 1919.

His Older brother Cecil Stuart Wheeler served as a Private with the Army Service Corps, he was killed in action 4 days before the war ended on the 7th of November 1918.
He his buried in Busigny communal cemetery, France.
