PRIVATE John Hayden Browning. 15/1380.

Harry Percival and John Hayden Browning were two of seven children (one of which died in infancy) born to John a Vocalist and singing tutor and Mary Ann Browning, of 13, Marlborough Grove, Woodhouse, Leeds.
At the outbreak of war Harry who was working as a clerk in a Leeds roofing felt factory and brother John Joined the Pals, they both served with 11 section of 7 platoon B company in Colsterdale Egypt and France.

Shortly after the Pals had arrived in France in early 1916 John was transferred to the 1st Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment, with whom he served for the rest of the war, he was discharged on the 10th of March 1919.
Harry continued to serve with the Pals until his discharge on the 20th of March 1919.
