Crossley Ainsworth Woodcock (Born Manchester) and Ada his wife of 11 years were living and working at Parkers Temperance Hotel, 57, New Briggate, Leeds, at the time of his enlistment on the 6th of September 1914, he was aged 37. he served with the Pals as a Lance Corporal and sniper with number 15 platoon D company in Colsterdale Egypt and France.

He was discharged on the 21st of January 1919.
